Since the Industrial revolution around 250 years ago, mankind has increasingly been preoccupied with destroying spaceship earth. Factories and industrial ventures have been built, spewing out tons of hydro carbons every year until the ventures have become obsolete and were abandoned and left to rot.
Bits of rust is an exploration of these abandoned sites and shows how mother nature, if left to her own devices, quietly returns the environment into balance. Peter Adams’ photographic sculptures, assembled for the rusty detritus of these abandoned sites, explores the beauty concealed in decay.
